We find ourselves backstage with Todd Grisham who is stood by an excitable young looking man who is bouncing from foot to foot with a huge grin plastered on his face.
TG: Good evening everyone, I'm backstage with the latest signing here in TWOstars, Waylon McDade. Waylon, it's nice to meet you finally. Can I ask how your feeling about getting your chance with the company.
WMD: Woo! I'm pumped Tawd. I been waitin' my whole life to git this here opportoonity and I don't intend to let it pass me by. I'm here to show ere'body that there's more to my home state of Tenessee than country music and nascar.
TG: I was going to mention that you're a proud southern man.
WMD: That I am Tawd, that I am. My Momma told me that ya'll gotta be proud of where you're from to have pride in yerself. I couldn't be prouder to be here representin' Tenessee and Knoxville.
TG: So you're a banjo playing, moonshine sipping, good old country boy?
Waylon stops his little jig and puts his hands on his hips and gives Todd an appraising look.
WMD: Come on Tawd, just 'cause you hear my accent and that I love where I come from you think I'm sum redneck who don't know what life is like? Momma didn't raise no fool. I got my college degree behind me, I made shure that I learned how ta handle myself both in the ring AND in the business arena. You don't see me thinkin' that just cos ya'll from Mississippi that ya'll got here on a paddle steamer? I ain't just some hick from out of town who only knows how ta use his fists.
TG: Sorry Waylon, I didn't mean to...
The Blue Ridge Battler pats Grisham on the pat.
WMD: Of course ya didn't Tawd, I jus' get a bit sensitive if people go make assumptions about me. Ere'body thinks us southerners are all racist rednecks who live in our wooden shacks shaking our fists at all them city slickers making all their money. Well I ain't a racist, a red neck and I shure don't live in no wooden shack.
TG: Any final words for the viewers at home?
WMD: Being a Renegade don't mean that I'm just another southern stereotype. Being a Renegade means being something different than wut other people expect from ya'll. If ya'll think ya'll know me then let me re-introduce myself. I am Waylon McDade and I'm please to make yer acquaintance.
With that McDade bounces off screen with one last little whoop as we cut to...
