I really like the character, but after intense debates with a number of the higher echelons most of them aren't too happy at the idea of handing over power to somebody with absolutely no experience in the business.
However, they really do admire the advanced level of running and hiding that Cecilworth has shown.
Maybe if we could team him up with a jetpack and space helmet wearing cowboy we might have a great new tag team?

That team would not work at all, first of all Dirk Strongjaw is a flithy commie wasted precious government money on a laser chin in the time when we all need to cut back. Why just the other day Fotherington had to cut his nanny's budget to below the poverty line, all in the name of saving this great nation of ours economy.
Secondly, I do not think you understand, his father has already bought him this company. It is his. His father told him so. HIS FATHER TOLD HIM SO. IT IS HIS. YOU DO NOT MESS WITH THE HEAD OF RETAIL CHAIN TESBURIES. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.

In all seriousness, I developed this out of a stupid message I sent Darkstar but the character has this total appeal to me now. Now, he doesn't have to be straight up the owner, but maybe used as a manager, I'm not sure. I realise I was pondering a return in 2009 and never did. I think overall I'm burnt out on the idea of an actual wrestling character but love the idea of a character who is a wheel within wrestling. Heck, the only other thing I'm doing just now is: www.youtube.com/user/vaff2011#p/u I wanted to do it with PMA but then that got talked around to be a wrestling authority figure and back then I most likely wanted that but I've never handled a straight-up non-wrestling figure and a send-up of your Boris'/Jacob Rees-Mogg/Cameron/Osbourne/Cleggs seems like fun. Now I understand the reasons why not, it's a big ask but it presents a lot of interesting avenues in my opinion.

Could we use a commissioner type character? I could see that working out having Darkstar step back from being the person everyone goes to and if Colin is happy then perhaps he could be "booked" to announce certain things or used in a certain way if it helps move an angle on etc?

Head of the referees union? Head Drugs Tester. Appointed by congress so DS has no power over him...

Can;t see that character being head of a union He could be some kind of international neutral sports investigator or something. Like he's been sent in by some athletics commision somehow?

HEAD OF A UNION? UNIONS ARE THE PROBLEM AND I AM THE SOLUTION. However some kind of "political" appointment could work what with nepotism and daddy and his money. Maybe in attempts to clear up this Chav supported industry. (I got scared to click on this thread for a few days because I thought I'd be shouted at for a terrible idea )

Could we play it perhaps as DS has an issue with a union complaining about how involved he is with everything so he's forced to bring in Cecil as his Commissioner to show impartiality. DS is still in control but his orders are "filtered" by Cecil in the same way as Regal and Vince worked when he was commish?

Someone who shares DS' disdain for union. Ghastly things for the plebian classes.

Problem with that is it effectivly replaces the DS character with Cecilworth. We need somethign that enables Colin to just pop in and out when he has time and wont be a struggle for us should he dissapear.

I don;t see why that doesn't work in that scenario. DS can still make matches and run the company it's just we can use the Cecil character to move things on in different directions, doing things that wouldn't make sense if DS organised them. Plus the get out clause is that the union collapses so Cecil is no longer required.
I'm stuck on trying to think of something that seems less permanent...

Cecilworth being composed entirely of Jenga blocks would be less permanent.
